NeighborLink Tour
Introduction to NeighborLink
NeighborLink is a faith-based community development organization that leverages technology to bridge the gap between marginalized homeowners and volunteers. Picture an online bulletin board for service projects that no other organization wants to do. There are currently 4 NeighborLinks and 4 other organizations using our website tool.

The Roots of NeighborLink
Co-Founder of NeighborLink, John Barce, talks about where the idea of NeighborLink came from and why we do what we do.
Types of Volunteers
We have two types of volunteers at NeighborLink. A basic volunteer and the coach. The biggest difference? The level of commitment one is ready to make. Coaches are the ones who select projects and basic volunteers join the coach led projects. You have to be a coach in order to select and complete the projects. Anyone can be a coach as long as you're ready to complete a project and leave the recipient better off than you found them.
Joyce & Impact 52
In July 2011, Impact52.org chose to volunteer with NeighborLink Fort Wayne and help a woman named Joyce. Joyce lives in Fort Wayne and asked for some yard work help due to some physical limitations that prevent her from doing it herself. We're encourage you to check out Impact52.org and check out all of the great volunteer experiences they've done so far in 2011. This video is a great example of the situation many of our recipients are facing and how volunteer can help out.
2011 Cars for Good Entry
In 2011, NeighborLink Fort Wayne was been selected as a finalist in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good Program. This video shows you a day in the life of a NeighborLink project. We didn't win a new car, but we did receive $1000 from Toyota for being a finalist. We're hoping for better luck in 2012.
